The bag is intended for first aid treatment and neutralisation of hydrofluoric acid in the eye. Rinsing should begin within 60 seconds of a chemical splash to minimise injury.
Before rinsing, the 500ml bag must be connected to an eye cup or Morgan lens (not included). Be very careful to rinse the entire eye and lift the eyelid for thorough rinsing. If more than 5 minutes have passed since the accident, rinsing should be extended to 15minutes; contact us for more information.

Hexafluorine ® solution
Hexafluorine ® is a unique first-aid rinsing liquid specially developed for use against hydrofluoric acid or compounds containing fluoride ions. It is effective against all acids and can also quickly neutralise the toxic fluoride ion, which otherwise can cause serious harm if allowed to penetrate the body, where it binds calcium, among other things. Thanks to the hypertonic* property of Hexafluorine ® the penetration of the harmful chemical is prevented, while Hexafluorine ® draws already penetrated chemical out of the tissue. Its positive effects are scientifically and practically documented in the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s report 2010:6.
